In my opinion, no, just craft the blue sand armor because at the point you can afford it seems a little weak and you have to buy some weapons. Easiest way to do it is just that you put up a tent outside of Cierzo and you want to sleep with no guard so that you get ambushed by these pearlbirds and just farm them like this.
